There are big things happening at Lake Bride Magazine, and we couldn't be happier to share a glimpse behind the scenes.

Lake Bride is back, and we're celebrating with a little creative magic with a styled shoot day in Red Wing, Minnesota. 

The sister publication of Lake & Company, Lake Bride is back and better than ever with a new magazine coming soon inspired by the Midwest and Great Lakes region, we're bringing a fresh perspective to weddings, celebrating the couples, creatives, and local vendors who make each celebration unique.

And what better way to kick off this next chapter than with a styled shoot at one of Minnesota's most beautiful historic hotels, alongside an incredible team of local wedding vendors?

THE VISION: VINTAGE ELEGANCE WITH A MODERN TWIST

Set against the timeless backdrop of The St. James Hotel in Red Wing, this styled shoot was all about embracing historic elegance in a way that feels fresh, fun, and effortlessly chic.

We wanted to lean into the hotel's vintage character, rich details, and old world charm while bringing in modern touches and a little playful personality.

Add in the magic of fall in Red Wing, and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. 

Think vintage and classy, chic and playful, with moody seasonal inspiration woven throughout.

BEHIND THE SCENES: BRINGING THE VISION TO LIFE

A styled shoot takes a village, and this one brought together an incredible group of local wedding professionals, each with their own expertise and creative touch.

Alongside owner and publisher Megan Kellin, whose years of industry knowledge and experience have helped shape Lake Bride, the team has welcomed two new faces: Maizy Burk and Emma Enebak.

With backgrounds in creative direction and marketing, Maizy brings a fresh creative perspective to the publication, while Emma brings her experience and passion for editorial and fashion, with an eye for style and inspiration. Together, this team is excited to bring new ideas, real stories and a fresh vision to Lake Bride.

This styled shoot, planned by Maizy Burk and brought to life through the collaboration of Maizy and Emma, was one of the first opportunities for the new team to come together creatively. Bringing together an incredible group of vendors, the day was all about collaboration, creativity, and showcasing just a glimpse of what's to come.

From the thoughtful details and beautiful florals to the fashion, beauty, photography and local models every piece helped bring the vision to life.

We couldn't have brought this vision to life without the talented local businesses who came together to make the day special. Everyone brought something unique to the table, and we are so grateful for the creativity, collaboration, and talent that made this shoot possible.

    A NEW CHAPTER IS JUST BEGINNING

    This styled shoot is just a little preview of what's ahead for Lake Bride.

    The new images and full editorial will be featured in the upcoming release of Lake Bride Magazine, along with more wedding inspiration, local talent, and beautiful celebrations from across the Great Lakes region.
